The trick: adapt to the local timetable
Life early in the morning, a long siesta and everything comes back to life at eight in the evening. Córdoba at night in summer is a completely different city from the one at midday. The terraces fill up, the river cools its banks and the streets of the Jewish Quarter can be walked without suffering.
The cold pool at 15°C
When it is 42 degrees outside, immersing yourself in water at 15°C is a resurrection. Your whole body resets. You come out of the water with goosebumps and a feeling of freshness that lasts for hours. And since we are open until midnight, you can come at ten at night. A night-time hammam in a Córdoba summer is a unique experience.
More cool plans
A riverside walk at sunset. The Guadalquivir cools its banks from eight in the evening. The path from the Roman Bridge is quiet and shaded.
Dinners in patios. Restaurants with an interior patio and a fountain. Eating outdoors at ten at night at 28 degrees is one of the luxuries of a Córdoba summer.
Medina Azahara by night. The night visits avoid the heat and add the sight of the ruins lit up under a starry sky.
